Duke vs UNC

BEFORE I BEGIN: This is a story of something that just happened to me. Jordan and I were walking through campus and I was texting someone on my phone. This guy walks by and says "Excuse me, you dropped something." I look back and before I could tell that I wasn't actually missing anything he continued, "...your smile. And you don't even need to stop to pick it up." I'd say that's a first for me.

ANYWAY....

While I've been having a blast at UNC with Jordan and all of her friends...I figured I should check out their rivals as well. Colin, a friend from high school, goes to Duke and showed me all around campus. I couldn't believe how beautiful it is! I felt like I was in a completely different state than where UNC is. If I had to pick which school I'd like to go to, I would choose Duke and here are some reasons why:

1. The campus makes so much more sense. Even though there aren't really any signs on the buildings, the campus is set up into sections (housing, classes, dining hall/union). Whereas the buildings on UNC's campus are all scattered around and the overall layout doesn't make much sense.

2. I like smaller schools anyway. UNC is too big for me, I just feel like it would take a long time to feel like I fit in.

3. The architecture is way more exciting and I didn't trip over their walkways like I did on UNC's uneven brick walkways.

I still reallllly love UNC for these reasons:

1. They definitely have the athletics in their court (no pun intended)

2. UNC has a better store and they have a Starbucks on campus

3. I have way more friends at UNC than I do at Duke now

4. Franklin street is where it's at. Duke can't really compare to that. Sharry!

Unfortunately it doesn't really matter what school I would pick because my time has passed. But both schools are amazing and I'm so happy that I've had the chance to experience both.
